What is a Save the Date Card?
A Save the Date Card acts as an announcement which notifies your guests that you have set a date for your wedding and asks them to put it in their diary. These cards are not official invitations and should only reveal the wedding date and some brief details of the location if necessary.
When should I order them?
About 6 weeks prior to when you want to send them out.
When should I send them?
They can be sent up to a year in advance of the wedding and are particularly useful if you are getting married abroad or are inviting guests from abroad, and want to make sure they have plenty of notice.
How many should I order?
Remember you only need one per couple or family. We advise that you add 10% extra just in case.
How are Save the Date cards worded?
Here are 4 examples, more details about the location may be added if required.
